When Was the Last Time You Prayed for Someone Else?

Sis, today’s Faith Talk is a little different. We’re not starting with our own problems, our own needs, or our own breakthrough. Today, we’re stopping to pray for somebody else. Around the world, people are going through unimaginable situations. Families have lost loved ones and homes because of devastating weather and disasters. Others are facing persecution and hardship because they choose to follow Jesus. Some are grieving. Some are afraid. Some are simply trying to make it through another day. And while we may not be able to change their circumstances, we can pray. In Acts 12, Peter was imprisoned and facing danger, but the church gathered together and prayed earnestly for him. They couldn't get into the prison and rescue Peter themselves—but they knew the One who could. Today, we're reminded that prayer isn't only about asking God to help us. Sometimes God calls us to stand in the gap for someone else. So think about one person who may be carrying something heavy right now. A family member. A friend. Someone you know personally. Or even someone you've never met. Let's stop scrolling. Let's stop and pray. Let's carry one another before the throne of God. “So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.” — Acts 12:5 ESV 🙏🏽 Who are you praying for today? If someone comes to mind while watching this video, don't just say, “I'll pray for you.” Take a moment and actually pray for them. May we become women who notice, women who care, women who intercede, and women who stand in the gap. God sees them. God sees you. And God is still faithful.
