In this video Dr O'Donovan (medical doctor) and Ella Boys (physiotherapist) guide you through 10 exercises to help with trigger finger pain and release.
Struggling with trigger finger pain? In this video, you'll learn simple and effective trigger finger rehab exercises to relieve pain, improve flexibility, and strengthen your fingers.
👉 What is trigger finger?
Trigger finger happens when the tendon in your finger becomes inflamed and swollen, making it difficult to straighten or bend the finger smoothly. It can feel like your finger locks, pops, or catches when you move it.
👉 What is trigger finger surgery?
Trigger finger surgery, called a "trigger finger release," is a minor procedure where a surgeon cuts the tight part of the tendon sheath to allow the tendon to move freely again. It's usually quick and often done under local anesthesia.
👉 What are the treatments for trigger finger?
Early treatment focuses on rest, splinting, gentle exercises, anti-inflammatory medications, and sometimes steroid injections. Rehab exercises help improve movement and reduce stiffness. Surgery is considered when other treatments don't work.
In this video, we guide you through step-by-step trigger finger exercises to help you manage symptoms naturally at home — and we'll share tips for recovery whether you're avoiding surgery or healing afterward.
