How Were These Submarines Never Found?

Eleven submarines slipped beneath the waves, in war and in peacetime alike, and were never seen again, their wrecks still unlocated somewhere on the ocean floor. From a Dutch boat wrapped in a Pearl Harbor conspiracy and a Soviet submarine that vanished on a watched training dive, to an American boat whose four survivors left a note in a prison wall before disappearing forever, each loss is a mystery the sea has refused to close. This is the story of how a raider the size of a leviathan and a tiny Victoria Cross legend alike can drop off the map, and why the deep still keeps them missing today.
