The Claremont Serial Killer | The Complete Story | Oculus Lupi
Between 1996 and 1997, three young women disappeared after nights out in the Perth suburb of Claremont.
Sarah Spiers vanished while waiting for a taxi during the early hours of Australia Day weekend. Four months later, Jane Rimmer disappeared after leaving The Continental Hotel. Nine months after that, solicitor Ciara Glennon vanished while walking along Stirling Highway.
Their disappearances triggered Operation Macro, one of the largest and longest-running murder investigations in Australian history.
Drawing on Justice Stephen Hall's judgment, court evidence, police records and contemporary reporting, this documentary follows the case exactly as it unfolded. From the final movements of the three women, through the decades-long investigation and forensic breakthroughs, to the seven-month trial and final verdict, every effort has been made to present the evidence chronologically and accurately.
This documentary does not speculate or dramatise events. It follows the evidence and distinguishes between established facts, investigative theories and the court's findings.
