Happy Posthumous Birthday to John Entwistle who was born on this date in 1944. "You" by The Who off of their "Face Dances" album which came out in 1981 and featured the late, Great John Entwistle on bass. I had another song off this album that I was going to upload that I thought sounded a little better. When I was looking up info on the song and album I learned that John actually wrote this one, so I went with it instead. I'm still on the fence about the little descending run that comes after "Save me..." I was torn between A, Ab, F#, E and A, G, F#, E. It sounds like the first one to me, but the second one makes more sense. I had to go with my ears. Also, I used to think that he was playing chords in the intro to the song, but he was actually playing an 8 string bass. I got to see The Who three times with John Entwistle and we had tickets for the tour he was about to start when he died. We've seen them 4 or 5 times without John and it has never come close to being the same. In fact, the best non-Entwistle Who show I've ever seen was Roger Daltrey at Bethel Woods with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic performing Tommy in its entirety... among other classics. He even had Pete Townsend's brother, Simon, playing guitar and singing, so you had all the Townsend sound without the attitude.
