Los Angeles, 2007. "The Big One" has happened—the terrible, long-dreaded earthquake. Today, the towers of Downtown sit right on the edge of the ocean. From the rubble, a new city was born: New Angeles, now in the hands of street gangs and the evil Koga Shuko. This megalomaniac holds one fragment of the Double Dragon, an ancient Chinese medallion endowed with supernatural powers.
