When the Donkey saw the light

“When the Donkey Saw the Light” is a joyful country song inspired by Numbers 22:21–35. It tells how Balaam was so focused on his own desire that he could not see the angel blocking his path, while his humble donkey could. The song reminds us that God can use the most unexpected and humble means to warn us, and that pride, ambition, and personal gain can make us blind to the truth. Bible verse: “Then the LORD opened the donkey’s mouth, and she said to Balaam, ‘What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?’” Numbers 22:28
