DIY Single Speed, Will It Work?!

DIY Single Speed, Will It Work?! I recently snapped my chain and broke my derailleur in the process but decided instead of replacing it I’d do a little experiment. So I used parts of an old broken derailleur and the old chain and made it single speed just to see if you can do it without needing to buy a conversion kit. [spoiler alert] it works!! Although it’s definitely not optimal and makes a lot of noise it can get you out of a jam on the trails!
