I Survived The Maverick Race New Forest 2025

First race of 2025 completed! Before diving into the details, I want to share a bit of perspective. I was injured for most of 2024, completing this race and then being sidelined until late June. I started training again slowly and had only just gotten past the 10-mile mark last month. Unfortunately, in the last three weeks, I experienced IT band issues. Fast forward to today: I participated in the Maverick Race's middle route in the New Forest, which covered 9.3 miles of beautiful Hampshire countryside. The terrain was a mix of dry, wet, and muddy sections. I ran within my limits, which turned out to be much more than I expected. My muscles held up really well, and I'm thrilled to have finished without any complications.
