INTERGLACIAL | FIRE — Wildfire Ecology with Dr. Lori Daniels & Natalie Krizan

Exhibition video didactic from Interglacial, a solo exhibition by Desirée Patterson at The Reach Gallery Museum. Featuring forest ecologist Dr. Lori Daniels and researcher Natalie Krizan, this video explores wildfire ecology, forest change, disturbance and regeneration, and the research informing the FIRE section of Interglacial. The installation draws from Patterson’s fieldwork in the landscape of the 2024 Jasper wildfire and brings together photography, moving image, LiDAR data, charred wood and dendroecological research.
