2026-10-25 Bunce School Road, T-33 Crash Site & Ironclads

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, we joined the Larimer County Off-Road Club for a group ride led by James. Our route took us along Bunce School Road, past the T-33 Plane Crash Site trailhead, and through Ironclads near Allenspark, Colorado. Lee and I brought our 2025 Jeep Wrangler, along with our dog Charlie. We started the morning heading towards dark clouds, expecting cold temperatures and possibly some rain, but the weather cleared up and turned into a beautiful fall day for wheeling. We started with 17 rigs in the convoy, with 11 continuing on to Ironclads. Things got a little backed up at the Ironclads loop, where we encountered a large group of vehicles ahead of us. After hanging out and talking with some friends from the club, we eventually made our way through the loop. On our way out, we made an impromptu stop to play on some boulders near the beginning of the Ironclads route. We'd skipped those rocks the last time we were here, so it was fun to give them a try. Overall, it was a great day of wheeling, with beautiful weather, good company, and no issues with our Jeep. We even made it home in time to catch the fourth quarter of the Broncos game.
