Building a Carbon Fiber Body - RYN FP3

In this video, we walk through how we’re creating the bodywork for our initial FP3 test vehicle and some of the challenges that come with developing composite bodywork from scratch. We also break down several of the different composite manufacturing strategies we experimented with, what worked, what didn’t, and how those lessons are shaping the process we’re using today. With the design finalized, we’ve brought the initial bodywork manufacturing in-house and are now producing the panels that will allow us to move into the next phase of development Every new panel gets the FP3 another step closer to its final form and another step closer to customer production.
