CALAX 8.64kms SILANG AGUINALDO to GOVERNOR'S DRIVE INTERCHANGE Update!

#calax #mptc #dpwh #buildbettermore The 8.64-kilometer CALAX segment connecting the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor’s Drive in General Trias is a critical extension expected to fully open in the first half of 2026. This segment aim to decongest Aguinaldo Highway and improve travel time from Laguna to Cavite by connecting to the existing 18-km operational segment.  Key Details on the Silang-Governor's Drive Segment: Segment Scope: Connects the current Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange exit to Governor’s Drive, General Trias. Purpose: To relieve traffic congestion on Governor's Drive and Aguinaldo Highway. Opening Date: Initially expected earlier, now fully targeting the first semester (H1) of 2026, with construction speeded up in late 2025. Key Features: It is part of the broader 45-km CALAX project, which connects CAVITEX in Kawit to SLEX in Biñan. Future Development: A new petrol station is also set to open in this section by March 2026.  Upon completion of this section and the remaining subsections, the entire CALAX will significantly reduce travel time between CAVITEX and SLEX.
