How To Modify A Reference Image: Mixed Media Portrait Collage Art

Hi All! Have you ever wanted to make a reference image your own style, but aren't sure how? Well, I did just that by sing my tablet as a lightbox to first trace the image that I generated in Leonardo.ai. I transformed the image to a harlequin by adding collage papers for the bell cap, ruffles, face markings, and a completely different color palette ("borrowing" some of the colors!). MATERIALS: CANVAS: Artist's Loft 7x10, 90lb watercolor paper COLLAGE: Old project scraps on watercolor paper; black checkered pattern on copy paper for the cap bells ACRYLICS: Black, Cream, White, Deep Burgundy (red) INK: DIY alcohol inks (dark brown and black) mixing alcohol, acrylics and glycerin PENS: 08 Micron PASTES: All Purpose Joint Compound for texture WATERCOLOR: Arteza blue and red OIL PASTEL; Reddish brown GLUE: Black hot glue!
