Mowing a Field - Ford 1700 Tractor & Woods BB60.30 Rotary Cutter

Now that we have the 3D deer exclusion fence set up to protect the orchard and Christmas trees, an area of field is isolated from haying and needs to be maintained (mowed) separately. In this video, this section of field is mowed using a Ford 1700 tractor with Woods BB60.30 rotary cutter. The cutting height and cut quality is contrasted between the rotary cutter and a lawnmower/finish mower. When mowing grass that is about 12-18 inches high, a rotary cutter gives a decent cut, with the advantage of also having up to a 2-inch cut capacity for getting into gnarly stuff (in the case of the BB60.30).
