🔥 Thai-Style Grilled Chicken – Gai Yang (ไก่ย่าง) 🇹🇭 Gai Yang is a classic Thai grilled/BBQ chicken dish — juicy, savoury, slightly spicy and packed with the flavours of garlic, coriander and Thai sauces. For this version, I used chicken thighs, marinated for several hours before grilling and served with fragrant Jasmine rice, mushrooms and homemade Sweet Chilli Sauce. 🌶️ The homemade Sweet Chilli Sauce gets its own video here:    • Видео   🥘 Ingredients Chicken marinade: Chicken thighs Black pepper, white pepper, or a combination Dry-roasted coriander seeds 3–5 cloves garlic 3–5 spicy chillies – Bird's Eye or Finger chillies 1 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp fish sauce 2 tbsp light soy sauce ½ cup water 1 tbsp oil Lemongrass – optional Sugar – optional 🔥 Method Dry roast the coriander seeds until fragrant. Grind the coriander seeds and pepper in a mortar and pestle. Add the garlic and chillies and pound until you have a rough paste. Add the oyster sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, water and oil and mix well. Put the chicken thighs into a food bag and pour over the marinade. Seal the bag, massage the marinade into the chicken and refrigerate for a few hours. Grill or BBQ the chicken until cooked through, nicely browned and slightly charred around the edges. Serve with Jasmine rice, grilled mushrooms and Sweet Chilli Sauce. The combination of the smoky grilled chicken, fragrant marinade and sweet, spicy dipping sauce makes this a fantastic Thai BBQ dish. 🇹🇭 Gai Yang – Thai street food at its best!
