Traditional Chinese food in Malaysia comes to life inside this incredible 80-year-old family restaurant. At Hong Ngek Restaurant, generations of cooking experience, handmade specialties, and blazing wok flames keep customers coming back for authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant was founded by a Chinese immigrant who brought his traditional recipes from Fujian Province to Malaysia. Since 1984, his son and daughter-in-law have continued the family business, preserving its original flavors while serving generations of loyal customers. Every morning, the kitchen prepares fresh ingredients and makes its signature dishes from scratch. One of the most fascinating is a crispy stuffed chicken dish. The chef carefully removes an entire chicken skin without tearing it, stretches it over a bamboo tray, fills it with seasoned meat paste, and later deep-fries it until golden and crispy. Other specialties include handmade crab meatballs wrapped in bean curd sheets, fresh seafood tofu, traditional herbal chicken soup, and Chinese BBQ pork. The owner is an exceptionally skilled chef who handles five cooking stations during the morning preparation, moving between steaming, frying, and high-heat wok cooking with remarkable speed. Once the restaurant opens, the entire kitchen team works together to serve a packed dining room and a steady stream of takeaway orders. Despite its long history, the family believes there is no secret to its success. Their goal is simply to make delicious food that customers will remember and return for. From handmade traditional Chinese dishes to roaring wok flames and decades of family dedication, this is a look inside an extraordinary Malaysian Chinese restaurant that has preserved its culinary heritage for 80 years. 📍 Hong Ngek Restaurant 🕘 1030am–630pm 50, Jalan Tun H S Lee, City Centre, 50100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia https://maps.app.goo.gl/J9m9nV9KXT6Yr... 🔴For business inquiries: streetfoodking.br@gmail.com .............................. .............................. .............................. .............................. ........................................... ➤ Leave us a comment below & Subscribe to this channel 📺 https://www.youtube.com/c/STREETFOODK...
