Sanur, Bali. 17 August 2025 It’s a Sunday afternoon here at Sanur Beach, and the place is absolutely packed with visitors. You can see loads of domestic tourists filling the area — probably because today’s also Indonesia’s Independence Day celebrations. Families have come out to enjoy a relaxing time together by the beach. The construction of new stalls around Matahari Terbit Beach looks almost finished. It seems they’ll be expanding further north, which will definitely make this beach even busier in the future, with plenty more food options for visitors to enjoy. Up north, from Matahari Terbit Beach all the way to ICON BALI, it’s mostly local visitors, while the southern stretch down towards Karang Beach is where you’ll spot more international tourists.
