CJP’s ‘Jantar Mantar 2.0’ gets a new date. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a protest in Mumbai on October 2, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. But Mumbai Police has denied permission for the proposed protest at Shivaji Park, citing High Court directions, BMC permission issues, the silence zone, traffic concerns and the presence of nearby residential areas and hospitals. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has challenged the decision and said that if the group is denied the right to protest, CJP will launch a ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ in Mumbai on Gandhi Jayanti.
