Old Table Lamp Restoration. How to fit 1977 lamp into modern design?

My mom used to have this 1977 Russian lamp on her bed desk, but later on it was put aside and forgotten. I decided to restore it in a way that it fits into modern room design. After dismantling, I cleaned the dust simply with water. For painted parts I used paint remover. I cleaned little bits that did not get removed with a wire brush. I sanded the surface and then covered it with a primer. After sanding the primer, I painted the parts with ice white paint. I sanded and covered plastic parts with wax. For metal parts, they were sanded as well and then polished.
