One of My Best Days Fishing Glorietta Bay!

There are days when every stop seems to produce another fish, and this trip to Glorietta Bay in San Diego was one of them! I launched the kayak alongside DaveThaAngler and immediately got into fish. The day started with a spotted bay bass crushing a spinnerbait before switching over to the dropshot around the bridge pylons, where I picked up a black perch and a couple calico bass. Later, I found an outside grass flat that was holding quality spotted bay bass, and the Z-Man ChatterBait paired with a WetBandit paddletail absolutely got the job done. In between catching fish, we ran into a couple anglers battling a monster bat ray. I snapped a few photos for them before getting back to fishing, where the dropshot produced a pair of yellowfin croakers. I kept one for an upcoming catch-and-cook episode before finishing the day with one more chunky spotty.
