Michigan NRC Controversy: Are the RIGHT People Making Our Hunting Decisions?

Michigan’s Natural Resources Commission: Are the RIGHT People in Charge? Who is making the decisions that impact Michigan’s hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts? And more importantly, are the right people sitting at the table? On this episode of Beyond the Backyard – Michigan Outdoor Podcast, Steve and Joe dive into one of the most important and potentially controversial topics affecting Michigan’s outdoor community: the Michigan Natural Resources Commission (NRC). With Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s latest appointment to the commission, we’re taking a closer look at the individuals responsible for helping shape Michigan’s hunting, fishing, and wildlife management policies. In this episode, we discuss: The governor’s latest appointment to the Michigan NRC. Who currently serves on the Natural Resources Commission. What experience and qualifications should NRC members bring to the table? Are the current commissioners the right people to represent Michigan’s outdoor interests? Should more experienced hunters, anglers, and conservationists have a voice in these decisions? How NRC decisions impact everyday Michigan sportsmen and women. This isn’t about political parties. It’s about accountability, experience, conservation, and making sure Michigan’s natural resources are managed responsibly for future generations. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
