P53K Virtually Presents: Beauty and the Beast Jr.!

Bonjour! Be our guest as we go on a virtual journey to provincial France! P53K is a District 75 school in Brooklyn, NY. This production is the culmination of the 2020-2021 school year of remote and in-person learning that consisted of auditions and casting, rehearsals, filming in front of green screens, and recording audio with equipment. Each student performed and was filmed or recorded individually. Each student mastered their craft by being able to learn a scene or song so well that they could be filmed individually in front of the green screen, anticipating and reacting to what they imagined the other characters around them would be doing. Audio and videos were matched up and pieced together with student made animations, narrations and transitions. All voices on the tracks belong to the students performing. The P53K High School Theater Department cannot begin to describe the creativity, work ethic and imagination of the students that comprise it. We are constantly in awe and beyond proud of the way each student consistently exceeds our already high expectations. We hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed creating!
