Mumbai has always been different for me. No city attracts me the way Mumbai does. The energy, the people, the crowded streets, the Mumbai Local, Marine Drive, the skyscrapers and the feeling that anyone can come here with a dream and try to build something of their own. After leaving Ahmedabad in the previous episode, our journey finally brings us to Mumbai — the city I’ve always wanted to experience. But this wasn't a normal Mumbai trip. We had only one day, no proper stay planned, heavy luggage, limited time and a journey that was being figured out along the way. From a chaotic early-morning departure from Ahmedabad Railway Station and forgetting our main camera bag… to our first train journey, Mumbai Metro, Marine Drive, Gateway of India, the Taj Hotel and finally racing towards our next train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus — this day became one of the most memorable parts of our journey. And somewhere between carrying our heavy bags and looking at Mumbai’s massive skyscrapers, I realized something: Sometimes the heaviest things we carry aren't even inside our bags. They are the fears, expectations, comparisons, opinions and emotions we've been carrying for years. So this journey became more than just travelling to Mumbai. It became a reminder to myself: Khud se behtar bano. Logon se behtar tum pehle se ho. This is Part 2 of our journey. No perfect itinerary. No luxury. No showoff. Just two people, an unknown journey and a dream of experiencing life differently.
