Making a Dopp Kit | Leather Craft

In this leather craft tutorial video, let's make “The Coffer,” a dopp kit with a unique zipper style. There's a digital download pattern so you can craft it along with me! The Coffer is perfect for toiletries, makeup, art supplies, and much more. This bag can be made as simple or as detailed as you want it to be. I took some extra steps to make this bag special, as it'll be a gift for my partner as her makeup bag, so I ran some edge binding and piping along the bag, and I love the look. The pattern is great for intermediate crafters and ambitious beginners. I used a “gummy boom” leather hide from Tandy for the Body and a pig leather lining for the inner structure and decorative elements. It was quite fun and rewarding to make.
