Echolalia — Official Audio by After Dark Mark

"Outrun the quiet..." ABOUT THE TRACK Echolalia is a raw, high-intensity exploration of overstimulation, momentum, and the relentless race against internal silence. Blending fast, technical storytelling verses with a dark, piano-driven atmosphere and a chant-driven chorus, the track confronts the chaos of chasing noise just to drown out what’s waiting in the quiet. TIMESTAMPS 0:00 - Intro 0:25 - Verse 1 1:05 - Chorus 1:25 - Verse 2 2:05 - Chorus 2:25 - Bridge 2:45 - Breakdown 2:55 - Verse 3 3:20 - Outro [Intro] Yeah... Turn the volume up. Fulfill every second. Fill every room with noise. Because the second the signal cuts out... The static starts asking questions you can't fucking answer. [Verse 1] Hands on the keyboard, three in the morning, the monitor flashing, the coffee is cold! Grab for the phone, hit the audio track, set the render to run, let the output unfold! Clock on the wall ticks louder than thunder, I jump from the chair, turn the amp to the max! Guitar is feedback, speaker is shaking, I'm pacing the floor with a blade in my tracks! Step to the kitchen, kick open the door, grab a glass from the rack, let it drop on the tile! Watch it shatter to bits on the floor, pick a shard off the ground with a twisted-ass smile! Phone starts ringing, I stare at the screen, hit reject, throw the device at the wall! Drywall cracks, battery flies, plastic snaps in the middle of the empty-ass hall! Walk to the sink, turn the water on full, let it spill on the counter, running over the edge! Soaking the rug, flooding the floor, while I'm standing right here on the lip of the ledge! Every movement a frantic attempt just to keep any silence from creeping inside... Bleeding from fingers, looking at glass, with no place left in this kitchen to hide! [Chorus 1] Outrun the quiet! Yeah, outrun the quiet! Turn the volume up or take the fall, Just outrun the quiet! [Verse 2] Car in the driveway, key in the ignition, I stomp on the gas till the engine explodes! Tire smoke burning, needle is red, running ninety-five down these back-country roads! Hit the stereo button, blast the speakers so loud that the mirror is shaking out frame! Headlights cutting through pitch black night, zero vision ahead, playing russian roulette with the game! Swerve off the shoulder, hit the gravel hard, pull the emergency brake, let the back end slide! Car spins around in a three-sixty turn, coming stop in the ditch on the passenger side! Kick the door open, step out in the mud, leave the engine running with the headlights bright! Stare at the forest, scream at the trees, pulling my hair out in middle of night! Grab a heavy wrench from the trunk of the car, smash the driver side window into a thousand pieces! Glass hits my face, blood on my collar, as the noise in the engine slowly decreases! Ignition cuts out, headlights flicker, battery dies, leaving me stuck in the mud... Standing alone in the pitch black freezing cold night with my boots soaked in mud and blood! [Chorus 2] Outrun the quiet! Yeah, outrun the quiet! Turn the volume up or take the fall, Just outrun the quiet! [Bridge] You know... people think I'm dedicated. They think I just love the work. The grind. They don't realize I'm just terrified of what happens when the room gets quiet. It's not motivation. It's survival. [Breakdown] NO SIGNAL! NO FREQUENCY! JUST WHITE NOISE DRIVING THE AGONY! [Verse 3] Stumble back inside the house, mud on the carpet, wiping the blood from my chin with my sleeve. Sit at the desk, pull the main power plug, watch the lights on the board go dark as I breathe. Monitor dies, static disappears, radio tower goes completely offline... No sound left in the room to hide behind, no machine running overtime. Everything drops to zero at once... Consequence waiting right here on the line. [Outro] Yeah... Turn off the light... ...Mark... HASHTAGS & KEYWORDS #AfterDarkMark #Echolalia #InsomniacsDivision #UndergroundRap #StorytellingRap #DarkHipHop #ConsciousRap #FastFlowRap #OutrunTheQuiet #NewMusic2026 RECORD LABEL & COPYRIGHT © 2026 Insomniacs Division.
