CONSECRATION OF THE FIRST FEMALE ANGLICAN BISHOP IN KENYA

The Anglican Church of Kenya, on the 27th March 2021 consecrated The Rev. Canon. Dr. Emily Onyango as an Assistant Bishop to assist the Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Rev.Prof.David H.Kodia in its Bondo Diocese, making her the first female Anglican Bishop in Kenya and the second in Africa. The Rt. Rev. George Mechumo of ACK Bungoma Diocese (with authority from the Archbishop The Most Rev Dr Jackson Ole Sapit) was the Consecrator.
