In this episode, we're exploring *Wrexham Central railway station* in North Wales, the smaller of Wrexham's two railway stations and the southern terminus of the Borderlands Line. Join me as we take a look around this compact city-centre station, explore its facilities and railway features, and discover a little about its history. 🏛️ *A LITTLE STATION HISTORY* Wrexham Central originally opened on **1 November 1887**, serving the growing town of Wrexham and providing a connection to the surrounding railway network. The original station was much larger than the station we see today. On 23 November 1998, the station was relocated to make way for redevelopment, with the current station built closer to the city centre as part of the Island Green retail development.
