Together in the Garden | A Morning of Food, Friends & Song

Morning sunlight reaches across the garden, and another beautiful day begins. ☀️🐦🎶 The fountain is already flowing. Seeds are waiting. The orange trees catch the first warm light. And before long, familiar voices begin calling from every corner of the neighborhood. Everyone is coming home for breakfast. A bluebird arrives near the water. Finches gather around the seeds. Sparrows hop between familiar places. Swallows dance through the brightening sky. And our familiar Phoebe returns to see what the morning has brought. There is plenty today. Plenty of food. Plenty of fresh water. Plenty of sunshine. And, perhaps most importantly... plenty of company. Nobody needs to eat alone this morning. Around the fountain, friends and families gather. Some eat. Some drink. Some bathe. Some sing loudly enough to make sure the entire neighborhood knows they've arrived. And others simply sit nearby, enjoying the company. Yesterday we watched the birds return to the garden for lunch after spending the morning exploring. Today we're reminded of something even simpler: A good place becomes better when it can be shared. The seeds may nourish the body. The water may refresh tired wings. The morning sun may warm the feathers. But the songs? Those belong to everyone. One bird begins. Another answers. A third joins from somewhere in the trees. Soon the garden has its morning music again. Maybe that's why these familiar neighbors keep returning. Yes, there's food here. Yes, there's water. Yes, there's shade and safety. But over time this little garden has become something more. It has become a place to belong. So this morning, stay awhile. Share breakfast. Listen to the songs. Enjoy the company. And remember that some of life's simplest moments become our best memories because somebody else was there to share them. Food for strength. Water for life. Songs for the heart. Friends and family for the journey. And when breakfast is finished? Well... the whole day is still waiting outside the garden. Perhaps today, one of our familiar neighbors will finally show us where the morning takes them.
