THE STRUCTURE RISES!

THE STRUCTURE RISES! | Weeks 3 & 4 of the Corps Members' Hostel Project | Pen of My Imagination A vision is beginning to take shape, and the construction journey continues! In this episode of Pen of My Imagination, we return to the construction site of the Corps Members' Hostel at Police College Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, to document progress during weeks 3 and 4. From the superstructure to the carpenter's role in constructing the lintel, and the plumber's work on site, this episode takes you behind the scenes to see the different skills and activities involved in bringing the project to life. Every stage of construction matters. Beyond the blocks, concrete, and building materials are the people whose knowledge, skills, and efforts contribute to the progress we see. The hostel project was initiated and facilitated by Fateru Breakthrough Oluwatomiloba, sponsored by Dangote Cement Plc, Headquarters, Ikoyi, and undertaken in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force. This is an ongoing journey, and we're documenting it one phase at a time—from the foundation to the rising structure and beyond. Join us as we follow the progress, hear the stories, and recognise the people behind the work. 💬 Let's talk: Have you ever wondered how many different skilled professionals contribute to constructing a building?
