Brown Trout, European Grayling and their parr with Minnows in sunlit pools of a Wessex chalk stream

The larger European Grayling (Thymallus thymallus) and Brown Trout (Salmo trutta) hang out in the deeper pools of this chalk stream tributary of the River Test in Hampshire, fringed by shoals of parr and European Minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus). My GoPro simply doesn't do justice to the breath taking beauty of the subaqua, fish filled, world of a chalk stream when the sun comes out, nor does it convey the thrill of being so close to these magnificent fish. IRL they were clear and vivid. (Maybe I could put it on a better setting than what has produced this somewhat disappointing video?). There's a lovely bank of Chalk-stream Water-Crowfoot (Ranunculus pseudofluitans) in the pool, which is carpeted in the green algae, Water Felt (Vaucheria) with Fool's Watercress (Helosciadium nodiflorum) around the edges.
