A Day in the Life of a Record Label Owner | Show Day BTS

Our co-founder Sanoli Chowdhury's POV of what it looks on the day of a show. About us: Femme Music is an independent record label developing female artists from India & South Asia. In 2025 we signed Jyotsna Carnatic Jazz Trio under our sub-label 'Tala Root Records'. Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth is a highly sought-after South Indian Carnatic violinist and composer. She learnt Carnatic violin from the legendary seven stringed violinist Sri RR Keshavamurthy along with western classical violin under VS Narasimhan. She has been the recipient of many awards like the Chanakya award from the Press Council of India and the MBE award which is the third highest civilian award in the UK. Born from Femme Music and Jyotsna’s vision of bringing together the traditions of Carnatic music and the improvisational language of jazz, with Jyotsna at the centre.
