Adventures in Cuba - Exploring Holguin Province from Gran Muthu Almirante Resort

In early 2024 we stayed for a week at the Gran Muthu Almirante Resort in Guardalavaca Cuba. We enjoyed the beach, the entertainment, the karaoke, the food, the drink and the pool at the resort. We also went on several adventures around the resort and around Holguin Province. These included a mountain tour with visits to Fidel Castro's childhood home and a vist to Salto del Guayabo, the highest waterfall in Cuba at Parque Nacional la Mensura. It also included an excursion to the city of Holguin on our last day where we climbed the 458 steps up to Loma de la Cruz (hill of the cross). From the resort we explored the Parque Nacional Bahia de Naranjo where we found a hidden beach of fossilized coral.
