How to do a smooth snare drum press roll

I obviously need to practice more, BUT, why not take a look at the press roll, and how to do one, ya' know? That "tearing paper" press roll that brought status and adulation in school. "Dude, his rolls are like jelly, man..." Yeah, what every drummer wanted to hear. "Guy's a jerk, but his rolls are sooooo smooth." OK. Maybe I'm story telling, but if you have a good roll, people treat you better.
