What is real rural life like in modern China? I’ve come back from Shanghai to my hometown, the village where I was born and raised. Let me show you what a typical rural area in central China really looks like. I grew up in a small village in Feidong, Anhui. This video shows the untouched, ordinary daily life of the Chinese countryside — no filters, no drama. My hometown once had 34,000 people. Many young people moved to big cities like Shanghai and Hefei for work, leaving mostly elders living in the village. Here we have convenient public transport, affordable buses, electric scooters as daily transport, free government‑installed tap water, and people still keep their own farmland to grow vegetables and crops. Villagers here are warm, simple, and friendly. Neighbors know each other well and often share home‑grown food and homemade meals. This is the real, peaceful countryside of China in 2026.
