Our Zanzibar & Tanzania Holiday

Welcome to my first ever YouTube video! Come along with me on our unforgettable Tanzania & Zanzibar holiday, from an incredible safari adventure to relaxing in Zanzibar. This is my first attempt at vlogging and editing, so please bear with me! I originally wanted to create the whole video with voice-over, but I quickly realised there was a LOT more to it than I expected. I also forgot to film certain parts of the trip, and I'm still very much learning my way around the editing software. Most of the footage was filmed on: 📱 iPhone 14 Pro Max 📷 Sony A7 III 📷 Sony A7 IV 🔭 Sony 35mm lens & Sony FE 100-400mm GM 🦁 Tanzania Safari The safari was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, which was absolutely unbelievable and something I'll never forget. A little warning about some of the safari footage — there is definitely some camera shake! 😂 I was using the Sony 100-400mm GM handheld from the back of a moving jeep, which is much harder than it looks. If you're planning your own safari and taking a long lens, I'd definitely recommend bringing a bean bag or even a neck cushion to help stabilise your camera. I wish we'd thought of this beforehand! We were really impressed with our tour guide and safari company, and we'd happily recommend them. However, we weren't quite as impressed with some of the hotels included in our package, especially considering the price we paid. The food was also quite limited in places. One thing I really wish I'd known before travelling was to pack plenty of snacks! So if you're planning a similar trip, hopefully that's something you can learn from us. 🏝️ Zanzibar The Zanzibar section of the video takes you around our hotel, including a look at the property and our walk to our room. We stayed at Matemwe Hotel, a brand-new 4-star hotel. The setting was beautiful, but unfortunately we did have a few issues with our room during our stay, and once again, the food selection was extremely limited. I'll share more of our experience in the video, as I think it's useful to show both the amazing parts of travelling and the things that didn't quite live up to expectations. ❤️ Thanks for watching!
