Kewan Lacy Is The Difference vs Texas | Ole Miss Legend Bill Flowers

Everyone's Texas conversation this week is about who isn't playing: Colin Simmons, reportedly out, and 55% of the Longhorns' sacks with him. That's the wrong line. Ole Miss legend Bill Flowers says the player who decides Saturday is Kewan Lacy, who ran for 122 yards on 16 carries against Missouri in a 257-yard rushing day, "as much of a difference maker as Trinidad." Bill's real worry isn't the Texas defense. It's a wounded Texas team. Three days to Texas. Ten to Auburn. Steven Willis brings in Ole Miss legend Bill Flowers to break down the trip to Austin: Kewan Lacy as the difference maker, Bill's worry about the Texas quarterback, how Caleb Cunningham is coming along, and why a wounded Texas team is the most dangerous kind. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Bill Flowers joins for Texas week 1:56 Ole Miss in Austin for the first time since 2013 2:32 Bill's biggest worry: the Texas quarterback 3:43 Can the Ole Miss defense stay consistent? 5:13 Kewan Lacy: "as much of a difference maker as Trinidad" 6:37 Bill wanted to play at Texas. Bill Flowers' case for Saturday doesn't start with Trinidad Chambliss. It starts with Kewan Lacy: "He is as much of a difference maker, in my opinion, as Trinidad is in regards to how that offense flows." Lacy ran for 122 yards on 16 carries against Missouri, and Ole Miss ran for 257 as a team. The Texas native gets Austin. 2. "The most dangerous animal in the forest is a wounded animal." Bill's worry isn't a Texas defense reportedly without Colin Simmons. It's a team that was No. 1 eleven days ago, now sits at No. 19, and is playing to save its season, with a quarterback whose back is against the wall. Steven's answer: start fast, before Texas gets confident. 3. Without Simmons, Ole Miss can treat Texas like a normal defense: no chipping with backs, no extra tight ends kept in to block. Per the Texas game notes, Simmons has 10.5 of Texas's 19 sacks; Chambliss has been sacked five times in six games. Steven: "Ask Tennessee what happens when you treat Colin Simmons like a normal dude." 🦈 EVERYDAYER CLUB — ad-free plus the members-only room, 7-day free trial: https://lockedonolemiss.supercast.com 💬 LOOM PRIVATE DISCORD — free to join:   / discord   🌐 EVERYTHING ELSE: https://olemisshub.com 🎧 EVERY PLATFORM: https://link.chtbl.com/LOOleMiss?sid=... 📈 KALSHI — Download Kalshi and use code LOCKEDON to get $25 when you trade $25. 18+ only.
