A Quiet Mountain Trail Along the Ridge
With the theme of experiencing tranquility along the ridge, Bongsan and Aengbongsan offer an easy and relaxing hiking experience without requiring any special trekking skills. Steep slopes and difficult sections have been well maintained, making the trails accessible and comfortable to explore.
The mountains are also home to a variety of historical and cultural heritage sites, including Suguksa Temple and Seooreung Royal Tombs, offering plenty of sights to discover along the way.
Seoul Trail
The Seoul Trail, which encircles Seoul for a total distance of 156.5 km, consists of 21 routes designed to weave together the city’s history, culture, and nature into stories for exploration and experience by both domestic and international visitors.
Throughout the Seoul Trail, resting facilities, book cafés, and shelters have been established to allow citizens to take breaks effortlessly, while temples and historic sites are connected to provide opportunities to experience Seoul’s history, culture, and nature.
The Seoul Trail is easily accessible by public transportation and mainly consists of gently sloping dirt paths, so anyone can use it safely and comfortably.
To help people complete the trail based on their own level and goals, the Seoul Trail has been reorganized from 8 to 21 routes.
Existing routes have been subdivided into two to five with a suggested time of two to four hours for healthy and leisurely enjoyment in daily life.
