I DIDN'T DRAW FOR 2 YEARS | Art Journal/Storytime

Well, hi there! How are you doing? I'm not sure what to put here... I didn't draw for almost 2 years and I honestly at times didn't think I'd ever want to draw again. I was ashamed of that fact for a while, I mean...look at my username. (not the waffle part, lol) So I was very scared of showing up online again. And like…could I even still draw? As my body slowly recovered and healed out of survival mode I began to learn a lot about myself. What I'm capable of, what I want, and in a lot of ways, who I am. When it comes down to it, I don’t feel like the same person I was the last time I posted and yet I feel more myself than I ever have. I’ll never be completely physically healed and this last “dance with death” left me with scars, there's stuff I have to live with, but I’m learning to love it all and that is the real adventure. This video is my brief explanation of what happened since we last spoke. I imagine as I post more, I’ll share more organically things I’ve learned and gone through, but for now I hope you enjoy this labor of love I made for you. 💜 Thank you for your patience, prayers, and kindness. love you!
