Whale Shark encounter at Tantabiddi, Western Australia

While at Yardie Station, I booked a whale shark trip from Exmouth. The operators picked me up at Yardie Station which was great. There were a few other adventurers there as well. We had a great day out on the water. It was the last day of the season, but I managed two swims with the same whale shark, about an hour apart. The skipper was in touch with a lite plane spotting the whale sharks, and other sea creatures, from above. It was an effort keeping up with the whale sharks once they were sighted. If you want to try this, I suggest you do some snorkeling beforehand to build up your skill level. After the whale shark swims, we spotted some southern right whales and watched them from the boat deck. To finish the day off, we did some snorkeling over the shallow reef.
