Lost for 30 years, an abandoned 1990 International 4700 Road Rescue Ambulance was discovered forgotten deep inside an overgrown forest. The original red and white paint had faded and deteriorated. Severe corrosion had spread across the body. Every part of this forgotten ambulance showed signs of its long history. But instead of giving up on it, we began a complete rescue mission. The restoration process includes the difficult recovery from the forest, professional inspection, deep cleaning, pressure washing, complete dismantling, rust removal, corrosion repair, structural restoration, body panel repair, metal preparation, primer application, professional paint restoration, clear coat, polishing, mechanical rebuilding, exterior reassembly, window installation, door fitting, lighting restoration, and complete interior restoration. Inside the ambulance, the restoration continues with seat reconstruction, foam and upholstery work, dashboard rebuilding, instrument cluster restoration, wiring harness repair, control panel restoration, switch installation, interior trim fitting, and final detailing. The most important moment comes at the end of the journey. After decades of silence, the fully restored ambulance is finally ready for its first engine start and first movement after the complete restoration.
