Jesus did not remain in the grave. He rose exactly as He said, and He proved it by appearing to His disciples again and again. Before His death, Jesus promised, “After I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.” After the Sabbath, the women came to the tomb and found it empty. The angel declared, “He is not here; for He is risen.” Jesus Himself met them and said, “Rejoice!” and told them to tell His disciples to meet Him in Galilee. The disciples went, and they saw Him — alive, resurrected, and worthy of worship. Even those who doubted were confronted with the truth: Jesus truly rose from the dead. In Galilee, Jesus revealed His authority: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” He commanded His followers to take this message to the world — to make disciples, baptize, and teach — promising, “I am with you always.” Mark records the same message: the risen Christ would meet them in Galilee. Luke affirms it: “The Lord is risen indeed.” John shows Jesus appearing again at the Sea of Tiberias — calling out to His disciples, filling their nets, feeding them breakfast, restoring Peter, and commanding him: “Follow Me.” Paul later confirms that Jesus appeared not only to the disciples but to over five hundred people at once, proving beyond doubt that He truly rose from the dead.
