Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage!: Part 20: Sealing Magma Cone's Volcano

The Fauns of Magma Cone are much different from the others. Unlike Elora, of all of the Fauns of Fracture Hills, Magma Cone's Fauns are all male, and have bigger horns, and are overall a bit more insane compared to the lady fauns. The level's intro cutscene has two fauns soaking some rays. One of them hears a rumble and tells his friend about it, but the friend just ignores it. Then a huge wad of lava falls right on him, very likely killing him. The faun that's left just turns around and ignores it. Damn... these fauns are rude! The Talisman task of Magma Cone is to seal up the volcano responsible for killing that one Faun, as it was set off by a bunch of the level's own breed of Earthshapers, all so their planned party can be saved! You'll actually get some help killing the Earthshapers this time, because there's no way for you to push them into lava. Instead, just push them onto a red X and a Faun will take care of it from there, such as dropping a rock on them, beating them with a jackhammer, or smashing them to pieces with a wrecking ball. These fauns are like Looney Tunes! There are also smaller Earthshapers, here, but you can just charge at them to kill them. No trouble. Sealing that volcano will get you rewarded with the Volcano Idol as this level's Talisman. -------------- There are 3 Orbjectives, two you can reach before sealing the Volcano and one right afterwards: 1). In a tower's blue underground area, you can play a game with Hunter to grab the most Crystal Popcorn before he does. 10 to be exact. He'll give you an Orb if you win. 2). After the first game, Hunter will challenge you to a harder game where you have to get 15 Crystal Popcorn before he does. It's harder because Hunter will snatch them from the air faster when they pop out from the ground. If you can manage to win it, though, he'll give you another Orb. After paying Moneybags 200 Gems to use the elevator down to the volcano's site, you must then climb to the top of the volcano in order to automatically seal it. Bippo the Faun will then give you the level's Talisman: The Volcano Idol. This can lead you towards the 3rd Orbjective, which isn't too far away. 3). Talk to Chedda standing next to the Superfly powerup, and he will task you to kill 12 Lava Monsters in the in order to take back the party hats they stole from the fauns. You can only kill them by spitting lava rocks at them. If you get to close they can hit you out the sky and likely into lava. Just kill them all and Chedda will give you the level's last orb. -------------- Magma Cone's Outro cutscene has those crazy fauns having their party at last, with 4 of them dancing around and 2 of them giving each other a high five. One of them decides to pull a prank by knocking another one right into lava. That faun is also no doubt dead, but the one who knocked him in their just shrugs it off and keeps dancing with the others.
