Recorded: October 18, 2026. There’s A Cross For You was written by Rev. WL (Bill Hooper). Hopper (born August 10, 1915, in Bryson, Texas) was a dedicated ordained Church of God minister, gospel songwriter, and historical author. Over his lifetime, he authored 77 religious and gospel hymn texts. He regularly wrote and composed for historic music publishers like the Tennessee Music and Printing Company, the Stamps Quartet Company, and James D. Vaughan, Music Publisher.
