Han-Puri II – Jaeduk Kim *For Percussion, Electronics and Video* 작곡 | 김재덕 (Jaeduk Kim) 연주 | 김지연 (Jiyeon Kim) 세계초연 | 2026년 8월 11일 19:30 장소 | 금호연세아트홀, 서울 *작품 소개 김재덕의 《한풀이 II》는 타악기 라이브 연주와 일렉트로닉 사운드, 비디오 아트가 결합된 작품으로, 개인의 내면에 깊이 쌓인 ‘한(恨)’과 자아의 분열, 그리고 그 균열 속에서 마주하는 치열한 내면의 대화를 그려낸다. 작품은 총 네 개의 파트로 구성되며, 서사의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 음악과 영상, 무대 공간을 통해 내면의 갈등에서 화해와 해방, 새로운 도약으로 이어지는 여정을 담아낸다. 특히 한국 전통 무용인 승무의 호흡과 움직임을 바탕으로 타악기의 신체적 표현과 한국적 정서를 결합하였다. 작품의 영상은 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재된 안동 하회마을에서 촬영되었다. 이곳은 연주자 김지연이 어린 시절부터 자주 찾았던 외가가 있는 곳이자, 오랜 기억과 시간이 켜켜이 쌓여 있는 공간이다. 그 공간을 배경으로 과거의 자신과 현재의 자신이 마주하는 순간을 영상에 담고자 했다. 수많은 반복과 실패, 공허함과 인내를 지나 마침내 스스로에게 던졌던 질문. “나는 어떤 소리를 내고 싶은 사람인가?” 《한풀이 II》는 그 질문에 대한 연주자 자신의 대답이자, 오래도록 품어온 시간을 풀어내고 새로운 길을 향해 나아가는 이야기이다. *About the Work Han-Puri II by Jaeduk Kim is a multidisciplinary work combining live percussion, electronic sound, and video art. It explores han (恨), a deeply rooted Korean emotional concept encompassing unresolved sorrow, longing, and suffering, as well as the fragmentation of the self and the intense inner dialogue that emerges from these divisions. Structured in four parts, the work unfolds through music, video, and spatial staging, tracing a journey from inner conflict toward reconciliation, liberation, and new beginnings. Drawing inspiration from the breathing patterns and movements of Seungmu, a traditional Korean dance, the composition integrates the physical expressiveness of percussion with Korean cultural and emotional traditions. The accompanying video was filmed in Andong Hahoe Folk Village, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in South Korea. This location holds deep personal significance for percussionist Jiyeon Kim, whose maternal family has roots in the village and who frequently visited it throughout her childhood. Surrounded by a landscape layered with memories and the passage of time, the video seeks to capture an encounter between her past and present selves. Through countless repetitions, failures, moments of emptiness, and years of perseverance, one question ultimately emerged: “What kind of sound do I truly want to create?” Han-Puri II is Jiyeon Kim's personal response to this question. It is a story of releasing emotions carried over many years, finding her own artistic voice, and moving forward toward a new chapter.
