Wyatt started Aloha Maids out of desperation after losing many of his clients during the recession. With a background in entrepreneurship and ESL education, he saw an opportunity to enter the cleaning industry because of its relatively low barrier to entry.
What started as Aloha House Cleaning eventually evolved into a contractor-based model.
Wyatt realized that instead of trying to control how cleaners worked, he could focus on customer service, marketing, and growing the business while contractors handled the actual cleaning. That shift became a major part of the foundation behind Aloha Maids.
Today, Aloha Maids operates across a large portion of Southern California, along with locations in Las Vegas, Dallas, and Jacksonville, while working toward expansion into additional markets. Wyatt says one of the advantages of the contractor model is that it makes expansion easier.
In this episode of ConvertLabs Conversations, Kevin sits down with Wyatt to break down how he built Aloha Maids, developed a contractor-based cleaning business, built an international support team, and created systems for hiring, customer service, marketing, and delegation.
