Kreuzberg, Rhön (1) Flachland XC Saison 2022

For some weeks we were following the weather forecasts to different takeoff sites to get our first XC flight this year. Yesterday 110km where flown in the Rhein Main Flatlands. So it is possible with some luck at the takeoff selection. Arriving at Kreuzberg early we saw layer of clouds and no sun. This was contraire to the forecasted cumulus base that should start to develop around 11:00. We took off when the first cracks appeared in the layer of clouds. Getting away was one nice lift. The flight was following the sunshine patches on ground. First SW and after my craziest lee thermal we turned straight S. I made base before crossing river Main heading for a plateau I saw the sun shine for some time.
