One Year Bringing an Abandoned Farm in Sicily Back to Life

Three years ago we bought an abandoned olive grove and, later, the ruins next to it in western Sicily. Michele is from Sicily, and his dream was always to have a home to come back to here. This past year we started a journey to regenerate the land: planting a cover crop to rebuild the soil, starting a fruit garden, fencing it all in, planting a cactus fence, and drilling a well for water.
