Trikes, Trails, and Small-Town Legends 🚴‍♂️🍬🪵 | Chariton, Iowa

Two days in Chariton, Iowa — and it was packed with heart, history, and handlebars. I kicked things off with a visit to Piper’s Candy Shop, a charming local spot filled with sweets, pickled goodies, and preserved food treasures. That evening, I shared dinner with Dave, his wife, and Loren, enjoying stories and community warmth. The next day, Loren, Dave, and I rode around Chariton, stopping to meet old friends, local legends, and industry landmarks. I had the pleasure of talking with Clinton, a long-standing community figure and woodcarver, who reminded me just how important it is to appreciate the wisdom of our elders. We passed the Hy-Vee Distribution Center and capped the day off with a scenic ride along the Cinder Path Trail — one of Iowa’s most beautiful rail-to-trail gems. Also, I left with a jar of pickled eggs for the van, because… priorities. 📍 Connecticut Yankee Pedaller 🌐 https://www.cypbikes.com/ 📧 dave.cyp1956@gmail.com 📞 641-774-5557 🏠 906 Court Ave, Chariton, IA 50049 🗺️ Follow the ride: https://bit.ly/vantriketour 🎁 Get 50% off your own travel map: https://bit.ly/mappromo 🚴 AZUB Trikes: https://azub.eu ‪@azubrecumbents‬ -------- SUPPORT ME -------- PATREON:   / jayoe   BUY ME A COFFEE: https://ko-fi.com/jayoe SHOP ON JAYOE: https://jayoe.com/jayoe-gear-and-merch/ SEND ME ON WECHAT: http://jayoe.com/wechat/ JAYOE MEMBERSHIP: https://www.youtube.com/JaYoeNation/join Follow me on the Internets… WEBSITE: http://www.jayoe.com WECHAT: mattyg BilliBIlli: https://space.bilibili.com/100182773 Douyin: 加油马特 Toutiao: http://toutiao.com/m1681328028969998/ YOUTUBE:    / jayoenation   FACEBOOK:   / jayoelife   INSTAGRAM:   / jayoelife   TWITTER:   / jayoelife   REDBUBBLE STORE: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/jayoe PERSONAL FACEBOOK:   / mcgalat   PODCAST: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/p...
