Pushpadanteswara Shivalinga | Janma Rahityam | 84 Shivalingas of Mahakala Vana #77 | Siddhaguru

Can the mere darshan of a Shiva Linga liberate a soul from the cycle of birth and death? Why did Lord Shiva curse one of His beloved Gana leaders, Pushpadanta? How did Goddess Parvati's compassion lead to his liberation? In this profound Telugu spiritual discourse, Jagadguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi (Siddhaguru) reveals the extraordinary sacred story, spiritual significance, and divine blessings of Sri Pushpadanteswara, the 77th of the 84 Mahakalavana Shivalingas of Ujjain. 🔱 THE SACRED STORY OF SRI PUSHPADANTESWARA The sacred account begins with Sage Shini, who performed intense penance seeking an extraordinary son who would be free from the cycle of birth and death. Lord Shiva's divine Ganas were presented with the possibility of taking birth on Earth. However, Pushpadanta, one of Shiva's prominent Gana leaders, questioned how they could leave the divine presence of their beloved Lord. Angered by his refusal to obey the divine command, Lord Shiva cursed Pushpadanta to descend to the human world. Overwhelmed with grief and remorse, Pushpadanta realised the supreme importance of obeying the Guru's command. Moved by his suffering, Goddess Parvati compassionately instructed him to visit Mahakalavana and worship a sacred Shiva Linga. Lord Shiva assured Pushpadanta that worshipping this Linga would free him from the curse and enable his return to Kailasa. Following the divine instructions, Pushpadanta worshipped the Shiva Linga with immense devotion. Lord Shiva blessed him and declared that the sacred Linga would thereafter be known by his name — Sri Pushpadanteswara. This extraordinary story demonstrates the transforming power of divine grace, devotion, repentance, and obedience to the Guru. 🔱 DIVINE BENEFITS OF SRI PUSHPADANTESWARA DARSHAN According to the sacred account explained by Siddhaguru, worship and darshan of Sri Pushpadanteswara are associated with: ✨ Freedom from the cycle of birth and death (Janma Rahityam) ✨ Liberation from curses (Shapa Vimukti) ✨ Destruction of sins (Papa Nashanam) ✨ Fulfilment of righteous desires (Sarva Kamana Siddhi) ✨ Attainment of heavenly realms (Swarga Prapti) ✨ The blessing of attaining the status of a divine Gana leader (Ganadhyaksha Prapti) ✨ Spiritual upliftment through devotion and divine grace According to the sacred account explained by Siddhaguru, worship and darshan of Sri Pushpadanteswara are especially meritorious on: ✨ Chaturdashi Tithi (14th lunar day) ✨ Ashtami Tithi (8th lunar day) ✨ Mondays (Somavara) Devotees worshipping Sri Pushpadanteswara on these sacred occasions are blessed, according to the scripture, with heavenly happiness, divine companionship, and the spiritual upliftment of seven generations of their ancestral lineage. 🙏 THE SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE OF GURU AJNA One of the most powerful teachings in this discourse is: "The life of a disciple who follows the Guru's command becomes truly fulfilled."
